The Magicbit MP4 Video Converter application is so versatile that it can convert between almost all the video formats popularly used. From Quicktime .mov files to Real Media .rm, .avi to .mp4, and Windows Media Audio to CD Audio, the list of video and audio formats supported by this program is massive. Using this program allows one to share video files on the Internet and via mobile devices, or to convert a favorite movie from DVD to MPEG-4 to store a copy for back up. Whatever your requirements might be, this program will probably meet them. One young lady I know asked me to convert two small .avi movies she wanted for her PSP, so I tested this program with this small project and it couldn't be more user friendly.
I uploaded the short videos I wanted to convert by clicking the Add button featured on the programs very smart user interface, and this prompted the program to activate the other buttons in the menu bar, allowing me to start the conversion process with just one click of my mouse. This application is so fast, both .avi movies were converted in seconds and once they were completed it was possible to view them in the small player located on the interface. A pop-up window warns that the quality of the output file may differ from what's shown in the player since it is for preview purposes only, but I found the quality was fine. The trial version of the program is limited to 5 minutes per file so I couldn't try out a large DVD files, however I did convert a track from an Audio CD for playing on my MP3 player and this 4.14 minute track converted in less than a minute. This program certainly builds bridges between portable devices and does what it says it can do.
